Futuristic scenarios for the variation of temperature with carbon dioxide
Data Source
The climate analysis is based on data from FigShare. The Dataset shows Futuristic scenarios for the variation of temperature with carbon dioxide and provides key insights into the relationship between CO2 levels and temperature variations. For more information, refer to: Climate Change Chicago.
Data Processing and Analysis
The dataset was processed in R, starting with data import from an Excel file. Key transformations included converting year, CO2 concentration, and temperature into numeric formats. Summary statistics were computed, including mean CO2 levels, mean temperature, and their correlation.
Visualizations included:
- A line graph of CO2 concentration over time
- A time series plot of temperature changes
- A scatter plot with regression analysis of CO2 vs. temperature
Correlation analysis indicated a strong relationship between CO2 levels and temperature. A linear regression model further confirmed CO2 as a significant predictor of temperature variations. The findings support the link between rising CO2 levels and global warming, reinforcing scientific understanding of climate change. This analysis provides critical evidence supporting climate change research and helps understand long-term environmental trends.
