Objectives

  1. To know the terminology, basic concepts, and elements of strategic, tactical and operational ecosystem management at different spatial scales,
  2. to understand the relevance of economic concepts in addressing ecosystem management,
  3. to familiarize yourself with model building and model solving techniques to address natural resources management, and
  4. to develop skills to evaluate and use decision support systems and intelligent systems to address natural resource management problems.

Objectives

  1. To know the basic elements and concepts of forest management planning and certification, 
  2. to understand how economic principles and decision analysis integrate forest management, conservation, and protection planning,
  3. to know techniques to support forest management and certification, and
  4. to familiarize yourself with management planning and the certification context - management problems in non-industrial private property, industrial forest areas, public forest areas or community forests and conservation and protection areas, and issues of group and regional certification.
